Description

I have taken a new position as a Software Developer at Changed. It is a great chance and opportunity for me to become a developer in a team and improve my skills and abilities in a new area and project.

When I joined the company, it was a growing 6-year-old startup with successful iOS and Android apps focused on student loan repayment for customers. They were developing a similar product designed for financial institutions and developed for web-based platforms. I was lucky enough to take over that project and, as a result, lead it.

It's a web application built on React with a backend on Node.js and a database on Firebase. This entire setup is managed and run within the Online Banking platform. At the beginning of my work, I maintained this application, fixed bugs on the frontend and backend, and polished and monitored its work. It is an exciting and responsible work. The application offers services to some of the largest financial institutions in the United States.

And then a time of change began. Our leaders decided to expand services from Student loans to Personal loans, Auto loans, Mortgages, and Credit cards, and even create a new product called Stash My Cash to save money for your goals. This decision is pivotal and marks the beginning of the growth and development of both the company and our software solutions. I am so glad to have been a part of this period of change and exploration, discovering new directions and products.

I then focused on the frontend to add and release new updates, features, and products to the web application. I work with several APIs, implement new user interfaces, and ensure the application remains stable, updated, and visually appealing.

Conclusion

The most significant updates and features I released during this time were:

• New products: Mortgage, Auto, and Personal loans
• New Summary page
• New Charts and Recommendation flow
• New Transfer Split flow
• New Plus & Premium feature flow
• New Firebase Analytics events
• New Stash My Cash product

There have also been a lot of bug fixes and new updates to the backend, admin app, and UI redesign for the web app. This opportunity means a lot to me, and I'm grateful for the trust to develop this app — it's something I've always dreamed of.
